“Life is too important to be taken so seriously.” ~ Oscar Wilde
We started Wilde Hours because of our love for Oscar Wilde. Born Oscar Fingal O’Flahertie Wills Wilde in Dublin, Ireland on the 16th of October, 1854. Trinity Alum, founder of The Aesthetic Movement, cultural celebrity, novelist, playwright, essayist, poet, dreamer, quintessential Irish witticist and all around wild Irish guy!
Oscar Wilde believed in “art for art’s sake,” and from the big life he led, it’s clear he believed in life for life’s sake! Here here, Oscar! At Muldoon’s we hail the concept of Happy Hour because, like Oscar, we think life is for the living! Take a break at the end of the day and enjoy food, drinks, music, conversation, people-watching & a change of scenery as often as you can! Come to Wilde Hours at Muldoon’s Mondays through Fridays from 4pm to 7pm in the pub. Specially priced menu of delicious drinks and snacks. A game of darts and a chat with friends old and new. It’ll put you right! ~ Sláinte!
