Max Schultz, Culinary Director of Sessions West Coast Deli (California), selected Muldoon's Irish Pub, Newport Beach as the top Irish Pub in the country! 

“A good bet any time of the year, but especially on St. Patrick’s Day, is Muldoon’s in Newport Beach,” says Max Schlutz. “I love supporting this local spot by dropping in for an honest pint of Guinness and a Glen of any age.” As for the food, Schlutz says it’s no slouch either: “They feature Irish classics, like savory meat pies and Irish stew, which are only second to their Doon’s Burgers. The St. Paddy features a half-pound of Angus beef, topped with Dubliner cheese, slab bacon and California avocado. After you eat, you can practice your Irish jig, as live music performances entertain nightly.”

It's always good to exceed expectations!

But salads were a big part of the scrumptious home-cooking I enjoyed while living with an amazing family of artists in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. My friend Yvonne, the lady of the house where I was staying, is a "soul-chef" who whips things up, never concerned about measuring or recipes, and she had a magical touch with veggie dishes! 

Sindi Rae, Muldoon's Owner & Executive Chef, is a finely-trained chef, and yet every bit the soulful culinary cook who can imagine and invent and execute irresistible flavors! When she was feeling like eating delicious salads, she created three amazing new salads, BOOM ~ and then suddenly all of us were feeling like eating delicious salads, too!
